Company’s 70-Year-Old History Earns It a Special Construction Company Profile in The June 2016 Edition

When leaders need to stay on top of North America’s trillion-dollar construction industry, they turn to Construction Today magazine, a must-read publication about best practices, timely issues, and major contractors in the construction business. The magazine reaches nearly 400,000 readers, so it’s a monumental achievement to be featured in this publication.

Lacy Construction is proud to announce that the company’s 70-year-old history attracted the interest of Construction Today, earning the team a coveted construction company profile in the June 2016 edition! The article, written by esteemed editor Alan Dorich, is a celebration of Lacy and the company’s seven-decade construction legacy.

The construction magazine article touches on Lacy Construction’s 1946 start in residential builds. By the late 1950s, Lacy Construction began applying its knowledge to commercial projects, and as the decades passed, project scopes grew. By the 1990s, Lacy was taking on impressive builds, like Grand Island, Neb.’s $5 million city hall. Today, Lacy Construction provides general contracting services to commercial, healthcare, hospitality, religious and other markets throughout the Midwest and sprinkled across the nation.

The Construction Today article also highlights Lacy’s staff of 56. Unique to the industry, Lacy boasts many long-term employees, and the company prides itself on its partnerships with its sub-contractors. “Encouragement,” the article cites, is key to how Lacy gets things done on time, on budget, and on point. The article even highlights select employees — individuals on top of the construction game. Also garnering special mention in the write-up — Lacy’s use of insulated concrete forming (ICF) systems, as well as its design/build/lease program.

“I really think this article is a reflection of 70 years of a truly progressive company, shaped by dedicated individuals who are devoted to customer service and cutting-edge construction,” President Jerry Huismann said. “It’s a great achievement to be able to celebrate seven decades in this industry, and it’s even more special to know this milestone hasn’t gone unnoticed. It really is a great honor to be featured in Construction Today. And of course, we just look forward to more decades of working side-by-side with our customers.”
