Overview of Project

This project converted a derelict building that had sat unused for over 10 years into a freezer, cold storage facility. The building is projected to house over 5000 pallets when completed

The Lacy Difference

Because the building sat unused for so long, it had fallen into a serious state of disrepair. Although the building was structurally sound, it had been used and abused by temporary inhabitants. To move forward on the project, we needed to look past the mess and envision the potential of the building.

This project has been an exercise in patience. With an out of state owner and several out of state subcontractors (required by the owner) planning required “super” communication. Not something other contractors are “incapable of” but something not as common as it used to be.

The client had been ready to demolish the building prior to contacting Lacy Construction. They were relieved to learn that the building had value and that we could work together to realized this value.
